BigBlank SAS (subsequently called “BigBlank”) hosts and manages Ask Marty and takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. BigBlank follows the strict French regulations. Please find details about how BigBlank ensures data protection and about what data is recorded and saved.
Generation, Processing and Usage of Personal Data
‘Personal Data’ any personally identifiable information (e.g. name, address, email, bank account details, etc.). The generation, storage and processing of personal data by BigBlank always respects French data protection regulations. BigBlank takes the best possible measures to be careful with all provided information. Ask Marty’s website and our IT systems are protected against loss, damage, access and modification of your personal data by various technical measures. Although we regularly conduct multiple checks, a full protection against all kinds of dangers is not possible.Personal data is only recorded and used in those cases where it is absolutely necessary for fulfilling our service. Wherever we ask for additional data, these fields are clearly marked as voluntary and it is up to you to decide if you are willing to share this additional data with BigBlank. All personal data is provided by you, for example during the opening of your customer account. We only use your personal data where necessary to run our service or to provide necessary data to governmental authorities if requested. We will never share your data with companies outside of BigBlank unless this is necessary for our service (e.g. sharing your name with the hotel while we rebook your room to a cheaper rate).
Anonymized Personal Data
You can visit our webpage without sharing any personal data. BigBlank however might record data which is not related to you personally like for example the type of browser you are using or the pages you visited. This data is only used to improve our service, to solve problems and does not allow anyone to identify you as a person. We do not share or use this data outside BigBlank.
It is not necessary to accept cookies to visit our website. Cookies and flash cookies are text files stored on your computer to save specific information about your preferred settings and any other data that our system needs when interacting with your browser. There are two different kinds of cookies: session cookies, which are deleted when you quit your browser; and temporary/permanent cookies, which are stored on your computer for a longer period of time or, in some cases, permanently. In some cases BigBlank might be obliged to share personal data with third parties (e.g. in case of prosecution by law).
